About Tom Brecker
I write practical guides about the body: how it moves, how it holds tension, and how it responds to long stretches of stress. The aim is simple. Help you understand what is going on, find a sensible place to start, and give you tools you can actually use.

Why this work exists
Too much health and fitness advice makes you feel as if everything needs fixing at once. Another routine, another list of exercises, another promise that this one will be different.
I think there is a calmer way. Understand your body first. Find one useful starting point. Then follow a clear, structured approach long enough to see whether it helps, instead of chasing endless exercises or miracle solutions.
What the work is about
Practical understanding and actionable tools. Not diagnosis, and not medical treatment.
Movement and mobility
Simple, repeatable exercises that help you move with less effort through an ordinary day.
Posture
Understanding patterns like pelvic tilt and upper back tension, rather than chasing a perfect position.
Body awareness
Learning to notice what your body is doing, which usually has to come before changing it.
Stress and the nervous system
How long load shows up in the body, and practical ways to help it settle.
How I work
Say what is known. Say what is not. Never dress a plausible guess as a finding.
Some things in this field are well supported. Many are not, however confidently they are sold. I try to keep the two apart, so you can decide for yourself what is worth your time.
That is why the exercises in the workbook carry an honesty rating, including the ones where the evidence is weak. You deserve to know which is which.
