Exercise 25
The Full Body Shake
Shake loosely for two minutes. Movement that is not going anywhere gives the body something to do with charge.
How to do it
- 1
Stand with soft knees. Start bouncing gently through the heels.
- 2
Let the bounce travel up. Hands loose, wrists floppy, jaw unclenched.
- 3
Let the shoulders and head join in. It should look slightly ridiculous.
- 4
Keep going for two minutes. Breathe through the mouth if you want to.
- 5
Stop suddenly. Stand still with eyes closed for thirty seconds and feel what is there.
- Use it when
- After a difficult conversation, after a fright, or on a Sunday evening when the week ahead is already sitting in your chest.
- Watch for
- Stiff shaking from the arms only. The knees have to stay soft or the whole thing turns into a workout for the neck.
